There is no responsible single price for every ring resize because two rings requiring the same size change can involve very different work. The metal, construction, stone settings and finish all matter.
What affects ring resizing cost?
- Whether the ring is being made larger or smaller
- The amount of size change required
- Gold, platinum, silver or another material
- Width and thickness of the shank
- Stones or settings close to the area being worked
- Engraving, hallmarks or decorative details
- Finishing or rhodium replating after the resize
Why photographs help
Clear photographs can show the ring design, stone layout and visible condition. A final quotation may still require physical inspection because photographs cannot reveal every aspect of construction or hidden wear.
